Privacy Policy

Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).

Profile information: Optionally, you may provide a profile photo, bio, phone number, and location.

Listing information: If you list items, we store listing details, descriptions, pricing, and uploaded images.

Booking information: We store booking dates, rental amounts, and transaction references provided by Stripe (payment intent IDs). We do not store full card numbers.

Identity verification: If you choose to verify your identity via Lynk ID, your verified status is stored. The underlying verification documents are handled by Lynk ID, not Swaple.

Communications: Messages sent through the in-app chat are stored in our database.

Usage data: We may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited for security and analytics purposes.

• To facilitate bookings, payments, and payouts
• To display your public profile to other users
• To send booking confirmations, receipts, and important service notifications
• To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud
• To improve the Platform through aggregate analytics

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

With other users: Your public profile (name, profile photo, bio, rating, verification status) is visible to other Swaple users. Your contact information is not shared without your consent.

With Stripe: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. When you make or receive a payment, Stripe receives the necessary financial information. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

With Lynk ID: If you use Lynk ID for authentication or identity verification, data is shared with Lynk ID in accordance with their privacy policy.

With Supabase: Our database and authentication infrastructure is provided by Supabase, Inc. Your data is stored securely on their servers.

Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.

Your data is stored in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database with row-level security (RLS) policies that restrict access to authorized users only. We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

No security measure is 100% foolproof. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to report any suspected security issue to support@swaple.net.

We use cookies and local storage to maintain your session and authentication state. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or tracking pixels.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information via your account settings
• Delete your account and associated data by contacting us
• Export your data — contact us and we will provide a copy

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, we may retain anonymized transaction records for legal and financial compliance purposes for up to 7 years. Messages and booking records are deleted within 90 days of account deletion.

The Platform is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete the account.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date. For significant changes, we may also notify you by email.
